Pull the front edge of the slip joint connector away from the connector body to release the inner clamp.

Wrap the slip joint around the outside of the two gutter pieces. A waterproof sealing product such as ge clear gutter caulk available on amazon is easy to use. For outside corners measure from corner to corner. Cut a 45 degree opening on the nozzle of a silicone caulk tube by inserting the end of the nozzle in the hole located.

If you have a straight run gable roof measure from shingle to shingle and then add 1 2 inch to each side for a slight overlap. Step 2 cut the gutter material to the 45 degree angle using a miter saw or miter box and hack saw. Measure the total run of the gutter length you need. If you have inside corners subtract 5 inches.
